Capping off a wonderful week of celebration and recognition: Dental Assistant Recognition Week™ (also known as DARW™) is held the first full week in March every year. We celebrate our team members Deb and Lisa, whom all of our patients have come to know well as they have been impressed by their professionalism and genuine care!
Additionally, National Dentist’s Day is celebrated annually on 6 March to raise awareness about the importance of oral health. This day is celebrated for all dental health specialists, including all dental surgeons, orthodontists, periodontists, pediatric dentists, prosthodontists, dental assistants, dental technicians, dental therapists, etc. It is said that March 6 is chosen because on this day in 1790, an American dentist John Greenwood served as a personal dentist of George Washington's who had invented the first known dental foot engine.
Our own Dr Carleigh M. Prane has been in private practice for since 2005, after proudly serving for several years in the U.S. #NAVY as Lt. Commander. She strives to ensure every aspect of her practice is designed to deliver the highest quality of professional care and state of the art dentistry with attention to personal needs of her patients.
Dr. Prane’s only wish to help her celebrate her special day is her patients’ continue to commit to healthy dental habits: brushing at least two minutes to twice a day, flossing, keeping their semi-annual dental check-ups, and eating a balanced diet while limiting eating and drinking between meals.
